HBA of Iowa (HBAI) offers a group health insurance plan for its members through Kunkel and Associates and Wellmark Blue Cross & Blue Shield.
There are three plans: HBAI Plan 1 has a higher deductible and a health savings account (HSA); HBAI Plan 2 has a mid-range deductible; and HBAI Plan 3 has the lowest deductible. All are in a preferred provider organization (PPO). You’ll just need to compare which plan is best for you, but it’s the best range offered and unavailable with any other group plans.
Value added benefits include an online portal for easy benefits administration and enrollment, Dr. On Demand, BeWell 24/7, and PPO and HMO options are available. There are dental and vision options available.
To participate, you must be a member of the HBA of Iowa in good standing, located in Iowa, have at least two full time employees (but no more than 50), and entry into the plan will be for a period of two years.
