PWB Trades & Construction Scholarship
Investing in the next generation of builders and skilled trades professionals across Johnson, Washington, Iowa, and Cedar Counties.
Eligibility
- Current high school seniors enrolling in an accredited post-secondary program or current college students continuing their education.
- High school seniors must either:
- be pursuing a construction/skilled trades career, or
- be a family member of a Greater Iowa City Area HBA member (any field of study).
- College students must be pursuing construction or skilled trades.
- Residency: Johnson, Washington, Iowa, or Cedar County (Iowa).
Deadline
š March 13
Completed applications must be submitted online or postmarked/emailed by the deadline.

- Include required materials: official transcript(s) and one letter of recommendation (signed; preferably on letterhead).

Who can apply?
High school seniors and college students pursuing construction or skilled trades, plus high school seniors who are family members of HBA members (any field). Residency in Johnson, Washington, Iowa, or Cedar County is required.
What do I need to submit?
Completed application (online or PDF), official transcript(s), and one signed letter of recommendation (preferably on letterhead).
When is the deadline?
Applications must be submitted or postmarked/emailed by March 13.

Amy Lynn Pretorius Scholarship
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Must be a female resident of Iowa
- Must be enrolling in, or attending, an accredited post-secondary school in Iowa
- Must be enrolled in a construction-related curriculum
- Application must be postmarked by April 15. Submission instructions are on page 4.
