The Memorial Build is a house built in memory of our loved ones, leaving a legacy of hope, stability and joy for Jacques, Mami and their children! The Memorial Build leaves a lasting, tangible legacy in the form of a house and provides security and stability for a family in need. This year's Memorial Build gives special recognition to Patrick Hughes. Patrick was a union carpenter with a deep passion for social justice, workers' rights and labor activism. In his later years, Patrick served as a Construction Manager at Iowa Valley Habitat for Humanity. He passed away on August 6, 2014.

We need fun and energetic volunteers to assist us in the construction of this home, which will take place in just two weeks! Volunteers will help through the entire process including framing, roofing, siding painting, trim work, and more. No prior skills or knowledge are necessary! We train you and give you all the tools you will need to accomplish the tasks for each shift.
