2026 City/County Update

City/County Update Brings Strong Attendance and Exciting Community Growth Updates

March 26th, 2026 | Centennial Park Hy-Vee Center

The Greater Iowa City Area Home Builders Association was pleased to host today’s City/County Update at the new Centennial Park Hy-Vee Center, welcoming over 80 attendees from across the building industry and local communities.

Attendees heard valuable updates from representatives of Coralville, Iowa City, North Liberty, Solon, and Johnson County. Each community shared insights on current projects, future development plans, infrastructure improvements, and the continued growth happening throughout the corridor.

It was especially exciting to see the level of momentum across all areas. From residential expansion to commercial development and community planning efforts, the region continues to demonstrate why it is such a desirable place to live, work, and invest.

Events like the City/County Update play an important role in strengthening communication and collaboration between local municipalities and the building industry. These conversations help ensure that growth is thoughtful, sustainable, and aligned with the needs of our communities.

Thank you to all of our speakers for taking the time to share updates, and to everyone who attended and contributed to a great discussion. We look forward to continuing these important conversations at future events.
